The screwdriver is required for the Rain Bird " rotary " sprinkler heads only. As others have stated, you do need a tool to pull the head up ( rare for rotary heads ) but I'm positive that a pice of wire with a tiny bend on the end will do the same job and is much cheaper than this almost useless and super over priced screwdriver.
